Forms, fields, and mail merge in Word 2010

Overview

Word 2010 allows you to create forms quickly and easily so that they can be used by other users of Word 2010. Forms contain editable commands that you can connect to external data sources, and Word 2010 includes security features for protect forms against unauthorized access by other users. Another way to capture information in a document is to use fields. You can use fields to add information about a file to a document. For example, you can insert an Author field to enter the author’s name, or you can use a LastSavedBy field to enter the names of the people who last saved the document. Word 2010 Mail Merge feature allows users to easily combine content, such as address blocks, into letters, emails, envelopes, and tags. This course shows you how to add, edit, and update forms and fields, and also illustrates Word 2010’s various mail merge capabilities.
