Word 365 – Using the Find and Replace functions

Overview

This seven-part course has several options available in Word for Office 365 for finding and replacing words, symbols, and numbers. Students will learn how to use the Navigation Pane to find words and phrases in a document and how to view the results. You’ll also learn how to navigate between pages and rows with the Jump to function. Next, the course introduces the Advanced Search options in the Edit feature set, which allow you to specify the letter type or word format. Next, students will learn how to access the Find function to perform rough searches using metacharacter codes, including how to search for alternative spellings, specific prefixes, and even incomplete numbers. Continue learning how to use Find and Replace to change text formatting without looking for and reformatting it manually. Finally, students will consider how to change or replace symbols or special characters in a document.
