Overview
For managers, difficult conversations can be extremely stressful. Improperly managed, this type of conversation can damage your working relationship and leave you feeling insecure about your skills. However, with the right preparation and mindset, you can make sure that you are able to communicate difficult news. tactfully and diplomatically.
In this course, you will learn some basic guidelines on when and where to initiate difficult conversations and useful steps for managing stress. You will learn how to prepare for a difficult conversation using a four-step process so that you are confident and able to make that conversation as constructive and diplomatic as possible. Finally, you will learn how to show that you have the right mindset when communicating bad news to an employee.
