How to become a responsible professional

Overview

Most employees in business organizations must be accountable to another person. From the top of the organization chart to the bottom level, almost every manager and employee needs to look at a supervisor, a director, or even a client to set priorities, assign tasks, set deadlines, and evaluate results. Anyone issuing such provisions shall be appointed chief. At one level, the boss decides how the employees will work at work. The degree to which an employee meets the requirements set by the boss determines the extent to which that employee succeeds or fails, receives rewards or penalties, and receives praise or criticism. However, at another level, the judgment of an external boss is not enough to make a job fulfilling and satisfying. This is something that all employees of an organization decide for themselves. All working people must answer to an inner boss, their own inner voice, who provides guidance on a task, whether it is worth doing and whether it is well done. Accepting personal responsibility for your own work means that your inner boss sets demanding standards and that you are willing to commit to meeting those standards and being accountable for the results of your work.

In this course, you will learn how to listen to your own inner boss. you identify your internal standards, how to create a plan that meets those standards, and how to apply your inner boss’s guidance to gain more control over your work, goals, and future.
