Overview

Creating and maintaining a skilled workforce is the main responsibility of the UK department. Human resources professionals are directly involved in the planning, assignment, recruitment, hiring, guidance and retention of the organization’s employees. This course introduces workforce planning and global labor market issues. You will learn how the job description can be used to determine organizational employment needs. The strategies for recruiting and selecting the most suitable candidates are presented. Finally, you will learn about the key activities for the successful integration and retention of new employees. The content of this course is based on the Competence and Knowledge Corps (BoCK), 2015 of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). While the course helps students prepare for the SHRM-CP / SCP certification exams, it is equally useful for HR professionals who want to develop skills to improve their workplace efficiency and career advancement.
