Overview

The continuous development of an organization’s human resources is linked to several allowances. The human resources management learning and development (L&D) function includes a systematic set of activities that help to develop the key skills and competencies needed by employees in this job. The objectives of the L&D function in organizations include aligning employees’ competencies with the organization’s objectives, addressing skills gaps, and improving the overall capabilities of individuals and the organization. In this course, you will explore the theoretical and practical aspects of adult learning, adult development and teaching, measuring the effectiveness of training, and employee development programs in organizations.

You will also learn about career development and career management. The content is based on the Competence and Knowledge Corps (BoCK), 2015 of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). While the course helps students prepare for the SHRM-CP / SCP certification exams, it is equally useful for HR professionals who want to develop skills to improve their workplace efficiency and career advancement.
