Overview

In order to understand and appreciate diversity in the workplace, we need to develop an understanding of ourselves and the different ways in which we see the world. Working in a diverse and inclusive workplace has many personal and professional benefits, from increased well-being and personal health to involvement in the community with innovation and creativity. Equally important is the ability to take advantage of our unique talents, skills and contributions. In this course, you will explore strategies to help you become a supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. You will learn to become aware of your values and social perspective and how to recognize specific actions that improve the social and cultural aspects of DEI. You will also learn the key concepts when becoming an ally, how to have more inclusive communication, and how to use the RISE model to become a DEI ally.
