Overview
A first-time manager does not realize how much his new role differs from that of an individual contributor. There may be misconceptions about what it means to be a first-time manager, and you may be surprised to find that the skills and methods needed for success as an individual contributor and those needed for success as a new manager are very different. This course describes some of the myths of human management and the corresponding truths to clarify what a new leader really does. It also shows the typical demands and constraints of the manager job.
Finally, describe common error handling strategies when you are a first time manager.
